This monthly intensive it is NOT two hours of fighting with one another nor is it full of super-fit people who are going to intimidate you! No need to be young or fit to start with, but you should be in good health.
Master Hine passed on his knowledge to his students who now teach this class, which is for keeping fit, having fun and learning self defence
Shaolin Kung Fu – was developed at the Shaolin temple and originally based on the fighting techniques of the Tiger, Crane, Snake, Leopard and the mythical Dragon. The aim was to develop strong bodies, as well as a strong mind, of the monks.
We teach Northern and Southern styles – the emphasis in Northern is on long range kicks, strikes with the hands, elbows and joint breaking techniques. Whereas Southern – employs powerful strikes with the hands and elbows, allied to low, fast kicking manoeuvres.
The aim of our training is to develop self-confidence, fitness, self-control and a powerful self-defence system. Prior to teaching Tai Chi, Master Hine was a reknown teacher of Northern and Southern Shaolin. Although teaching the Internal Arts is his first love, he still wishes to pass on his knowledge of Shaolin to others.
